I love watching all those new decorating shows and reading about the latest trends in the decorating magazines.  But sometimes I have to ask "Do real people live in the featured homes?" They are beautiful but most lack practicality. When choosing a decorator make sure they keep your taste and lifestyle in mind.  Ask yourself...

• “What image do I want my house to give of me?”
• “What activities take place in each room?”
• “Are there young children or pets living in the house?”
• “What is my budget?”

All of these questions are very important to answer before you can have your dream home in the real world.
